Putting Care Into Action: Introducing Our New Scorpion Cares Programs

Scorpion Employees at the Michael Hoffman Walk
Mallory Nicol

At Scorpion, we’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of our clients and the communities in which we operate. We have a proud history of supporting local organizations our employees are passionate about, particularly those focused on protecting children and youth, promoting education, curing cancer, and fighting hunger. We believe in paying it forward and making the world a better place—one good deed at a time.

Whether in the form of contributing to local charities, providing scholarships to undergraduates in the technology and marketing fields, or providing support to clients who could use a helping hand, Scorpion is committed to empowering local businesses and organizations in our communities to thrive in any way we can.

And in 2021, we’re introducing a number of new programs that will put our mission into action like never before.

Client & Small Business Support Program

We’ve all been through times when we could use a helping hand, and this program is focused on using our resources to make those tough times for our clients and small businesses a little easier. Scorpion is all-in on finding tangible ways to show how much we care, also offering support to organizations our clients care about most.

Community Charity Support Program

Scorpion has been volunteering our employees’ time and the company’s resources to local causes for years, but we’re excited to extend our commitment to charitable organizations in local communities near all of our offices as our company continues to grow.

Michael Hoefflin Foundation

Since 1995, the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer has offered support for children and their families in Southern California’s Santa Clarita Valley. The foundation was named after and created in honor of a brave young boy who lost his life to brain cancer in 1996 as a representation of Michael’s kind and compassionate spirit. Scorpion is proud to support this local charity.

“Scorpion has been instrumental to the Michael Hoefflin Foundation, helping families of children who battle cancer in the Santa Clarita Valley area. They’ve been one of our biggest supporters for our annual 5K and gala and we are thankful for the generosity and support.”

Henry Mayo

Scorpion is proud to support Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation, which is located close to our Valencia, California office. We’ve taken part in fundraisers for the Foundation and other hospital programs that lend crucial support to the residents of our community and their access to quality medical care.

“It's been a pleasure working with Scorpion on so many levels. From our fundraisers to our golf events to naming parts of our new building, they have been prominent in the growth of our hospital and the work we do here.”

—Renee León, Donor Relations Officer

College of the Canyons Foundation

The College of the Canyons Foundation is a local organization that fulfills the important mission of ensuring people seeking higher education have the resources to do so—filling gaps in state funding and providing support to students and educators. Scorpion is proud to play a part in supporting the COC Foundation with scholarships for students looking to begin careers in business, marketing, computer science, or the home services trades.

“Scorpion’s positive presence in our community is being felt far and wide. Their commitment to provide life-changing opportunities for students at College of the Canyons is deeply inspiring and making a notable impact. The company’s generosity is opening doors for students that would not otherwise have access to this support.”

—James P. Kneblik, Jr., Director of Development
