I talk to mass torts and personal injury attorneys day in and day out, and I hear the same problem again and again concerning their digital marketing:
“Cases used to flow in all day long, but my leads have dried up. I don’t know what happened.”
While it may seem like demand is slowing down, there are actually PLENTY of leads for the taking.
The reality is the Internet is becoming increasingly competitive as more attorneys shift their budgets from traditional advertising to digital and competing for visibility on the same online platforms.
Twice a year at Mass Torts Made Perfect (MTMP), our team at Scorpion helps attorneys learn how to overcome this obstacle.
As a conference that attracts some of the best mass torts and personal injury litigators from all over the country, it’s an excellent opportunity to help attorneys learn how to better position their firms for long-term success.
Here’s my recap on the MTMP conference in Las Vegas earlier this month (which Scorpion co-sponsored).
Attorneys today want more from their marketing
This month’s conference was especially exciting, as the event had record-breaking attendance. Members of our team were able to speak directly with hundreds of plaintiff attorneys about how they could get better results from their marketing campaigns...
More leads. More cases. More revenue.
Litigators gathered at MTMP to learn best practices for attracting more clients from the Internet.
At MTMP, my team and I made many new acquaintances, and we also received visits from numerous clients who shared how effective digital marketing has delivered some of the major cases they recently acquired, and how it has been a true game changer for their success.
Clients like Paul Hernandez of Kalfus & Nachman, Steve Wagner and Jason Reese of Wagner Reese, LLP, Joel E. Brown of Joel E. Brown, Attorney at Law, and John Ameen of John D. Ameen, P.A.
Some of the conference attendees we spoke with wanted to know how they could land higher-value, single-incident cases.
Others wanted to hone in their marketing efforts primarily on mass torts cases, or diversify their practices to include more mass torts clients.
Regardless of their goals, they all had one thing in common—they wanted to see higher returns on their marketing investments.
And we were happy to share our insights.
As an agency that has specialized in legal digital marketing for the past 18 years, we’ve seen how many law firms waste thousands of dollars (or even hundreds of thousands of dollars) each year on marketing that produces dismal results, and we don’t want to see anyone else go down the same path.
Above is the Scorpion booth at MTMP where attorneys were able to ask questions about digital marketing best practices.
Many of our talks incorporated the same advice we shared in our panel discussion at MTMP...
Panel Discussion: How to attract more clients with digital marketing
MTMP featured a panel of digital marketing experts to share their advice on how mass torts and personal injury attorneys can leverage their online campaigns to attract the exact types of cases they’re looking for.
The panel included Ben Fiandaca, a Senior Vice President of Sales at Scorpion who has over a decade of experience helping law firms leverage digital media and technology to accelerate the growth of their practices.
Ben Fiandaca of Scorpion (second from left) discusses legal digital marketing strategies at MTMP.
During the discussion, Ben emphasized the importance of using digital marketing to:
- Diversify the law firm’s online presence across the digital platforms where potential clients are spending most of their time.
- Educate potential clients about symptoms for potential illnesses and injuries so they can better understand when they’re eligible for a mass torts case.
- Position their firms as a trusted authority on the legal matter and drive prospects to call their practices.
- Improve their marketing transparency to guide future investment and maximize financial returns.
Ben also discussed the importance for attorneys to build awareness for their law firm brands early on in the prospect’s client journey in order to build name recognition, establish trust, and make it more likely for a prospect to convert into a lead (and then into a new client) once they’re exposed to the firm’s advertising.
The most successful law firms are those that have a seamless strategy for reaching potential clients at every stage of the client journey (the marketing funnel), from the point when they’re just becoming aware of their need to the point when they’re ready to take action and hire an attorney.
Scorpion joins best-in-class mass torts vendors association
In addition to speaking at MTMP, Scorpion also became a founding member of the Mass Torts Vendor Association (MTVA) this month. MTVA is a network of some of the leading vendors serving the mass torts legal community.
Through this membership, Scorpion has joined a select group of best-in-class service providers who are able to support mass torts attorneys with case acquisition, management, and growth for their firms.
MTVA members are required to meet a strict set of qualifications and standards to ensure they are upholding the best practices and ethical ideals of the mass torts industry.
As an agency that has served thousands of law firms over the course of nearly two decades, Scorpion is honored to join this network of trusted service partners and further our efforts to help mass torts attorneys who are looking for the most efficient strategies for growing their practices.
