Amy Lindholm
Senior Vice President of People & Culture
Amy leads Scorpion's people strategy and experience - and is dedicated to creating a culture that inspires our people to thrive, grow, and belong at Scorpion. Her team is responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing our incredibly talented employees. Amy brings more than ten years of diverse experience in people-focused roles across multiple industries, including insurance, consulting, and advertising.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University in Chicago.
In her free time, Amy enjoys Chicago summers on Lake Michigan, going to country music concerts, and spending time with family & friends.

Rustin Kretz
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Rustin Kretz is the Founder, Chief Product Officer, and Chairman of the Board at Scorpion.
Scorpion is the product of Rustin's vision. His dedication and leadership have been the driving force behind Scorpion and the foundation for its unprecedented growth and innovative approach to digital marketing for local businesses since 2001.
Over the years, he has consulted for multi-million dollar corporations in the healthcare, legal, and other professional industries. Before founding Scorpion, Rustin was intimately involved in an SBC-funded venture (now part of AT&T) to build online scheduling software for small to medium-sized businesses.
Rustin is married to his wonderful wife Samantha, has two sons, and is a lifelong Lakers, 49ers & USC Trojans fan.
Michael Kline
President
Michael is Scorpion’s President, leading various aspects of Scorpion’s day-to-day operations, including Scorpion’s finance, business intelligence, and corporate development efforts.
Michael is also a member of Scorpion’s Board of Directors. Over the past 30 years, he has founded and held senior management positions at various digital media and SaaS software companies, including ReachLocal (previously NASDAQ: RLOC), which he co-founded and took public. Michael graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in literature from Harvard University.
When he is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and two children, playing tennis, skiing, and solving the occasional puzzle.
Jamie Adams
Chief Revenue Officer
Jamie Adams and his team are responsible for strategic accounts and channel partnerships. For 17 years, Jamie has been helping companies leverage technology and digital marketing to grow their revenue.
Jamie is passionate about small businesses, something he attributes to having grown up in a town of 2,500 people where most of the economy was driven by local entrepreneurs. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University.
His hobbies include tennis, watching football, running, playing the drums, and spending quality time with family and friends. He loves to read about leadership and religion. He also loves rock n' roll. If it rocks, you can pretty much assume he's into it.
Matthew Shepherd
Chief Financial Officer
Since joining the team in 2013, Matthew Shepherd has led the accounting department while working closely with company leaders to grow the business to where it is today.
Matthew operates with the philosophy that finance can satisfy essential business requirements, and at the same time, contribute to customer experience, create value within the business, and help provide lifetime opportunities for Scorpion employees.
When he's not crunching numbers, Matthew is a big classic/modern rock buff. He enjoys live music events and cooking for friends and family.
Matt Bentley
Chief Data Scientist
Matt Bentley leads a team of data scientists and engineers developing the machine learning technology powering Scorpion’s growth marketing platform.
Inspired by the belief that machine learning can tame marketing data overload so SMEs can compete on a level playing field with large corporations, Matt launched three SaaS products: AI-enabled SEO software CanIRank, intelligent growth engine Growth AI, and lead scoring software Pretarget.
Previously, Matt was CEO of Sedo.com, an early leader in contextual advertising that he helped grow to a nine-figure revenue and lead to a successful exit via reverse IPO. He is a contributor at Entrepreneur.com, regularly speaks at martech conferences such as InternetWorld, Predictive Analytics World, and Search Engine Strategies, and has been featured in the WSJ, NY Times, Forbes, and elsewhere.
Matt holds an engineering degree from Stanford, studied product development at MIT, and obtained a Master of International Business degree from a French grande école. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his family.
Saurabh Goyal
Chief Operating Officer
Saurabh Goyal leads SMB business growth at Scorpion. This includes Customer Success, Tech-Enabled Services and Customer Experience groups, with an aim to continuously drive revenue and unlock future growth.
Saurabh spent 17 years at Google, most recently leading a large global product and service operations team as the Global Head of Product Strategy and Sales Enablement for SMBs. Saurabh has worked across multiple countries and in multiple functions such as GTM, Product Strategy, Sales and Customer Success. He brings not only a wealth of knowledge and experience to Scorpion but also a “dream-big” attitude. He is passionate about building high performing teams and developing the next generation of leaders.
Saurabh studied Computer Science and has an MBA from IBS Hyderabad. In his free time, Saurabh enjoys a good wine, fine dining (he’ll tell you he can live on sushi and tandoori chicken!), his passion project early stage VC fund for India, and of course, spending time with his wife Purva and daughters Aria and Gia.
Azim Nagree
Chief Strategy Officer
Azim's passion is making great companies part of the Scorpion family.
For the past 15 years, Azim has held executive roles in various SaaS startups - helping them grow, scale, and ultimately exit. He has also worked at blue-chip companies like Dell and Bain & Co.
Azim holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, with dual undergraduate degrees in Law and Economics from Bond University in Australia. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports with his three young children and performing “quality control” for his wife’s French pastry shops.
Dan Bedell
President of Enterprise
Dan is the President of Enterprise at Scorpion, overseeing the company’s franchise, healthcare, medical and multi-location businesses. Before Scorpion, Dan spent ten years in technical project management before running a small business for five years. He moved into the digital marketing space in 2013 and became Scorpion’s Chief Operating Officer in 2015. He’s since held numerous roles within Scorpion, including President of Healthcare, EVP of Partnerships, and EVP of Innovation.
As President of Enterprise, he oversees all the employees responsible for delivering exceptional service and measurable results to Scorpion’s large franchise brands, healthcare organizations, and multi-location businesses. His passion is finding new and creative ways to deliver growth to the clients his team oversees and the employees he serves.
Dan holds a BBA in Economics from the University of North Texas. When he’s not working, Dan can be found traveling as much as possible and if he’s lucky, playing an acoustic set with his son at a brewery around the DFW area.
Alexandra Taylor
Chief Marketing Officer
Alexandra is Scorpion’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and is focused on helping Scorpion deliver growth for thousands of local businesses across the country. Alex has more than 15 years of experience in diverse marketing roles, including Chief Marketing Officer at HomeX and Schedule Engine.
Earlier in her career, Alex served as Head of CRM at KraftHeinz, where she led the successful re-launch of one of the largest food and beverage platforms in the United States. She also held leadership roles in multiple, fast-growing B2B tech startups and spent six years at Walgreen Co., helping to launch their eCommerce offerings.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Raised in Deerfield, IL, Alex currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago. In her free time, Alex loves spending time with her family, finding somewhere to paddle board, and exploring new coffee shops.
Chris Adams
Chief Sales Officer
Chris Adams brings to his role a passion for sales and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, optimizing sales processes, and boosting revenue.
Previously Chris worked for Gannett, where his sales strategy achieved $310K+ in new monthly digital revenue in its first quarter. He spent nearly ten years at ReachLocal, where he served concurrently as VP of Sales and VP of National and Franchise Brands. And before that, he was at Talk America, where he built the company's highest producing sales team.
When he's not crushing it in the sales world, Chris is an Advisory Board Member for the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
